Jerry Samuel is a full blooded citizen of the Navajo Nation. He was born and raised on and around the Navajo Nation. He spent most of his child hood learning from this grandmother who raised him by means of her beautiful Navajo rug weaving abilities. She raised five children and taught them the art and diligence it took to create a masterpiece from its inception to the final completion.
Today Jerry Samuel enjoys an vast assortment of arts and crafts ranging from welding and gas pipeline fabrication to Native American porcelain dolls. Jerry's well known doll crafting sister, Cheryl Yazza, taught him the craft. His first attempt was applying artwork to the face of a doll. During his introduction he had ideas that spawned into what we know as the Foxface, Fur and Traditional outfits. This concept seemed to take off overnight for the fresh new artisan. He now travels to many places and his dolls can be seen in many galleries around the world.
